My Journey as a Freelancer with Yoummday: Navigating the Home Office Landscape During the Pandemic

Welcome to the Home Office World!

Amidst the uncertainties of the pandemic, in May 2021, I embarked on a new chapter of my professional journey. Having relocated from Switzerland to the picturesque Donostia in the Basque Country, I decided to dive into the realm of freelancing. My choice landed on the German platform Yoummday GmbH in Munich, which enables freelancers to offer their skills in customer service, sales, and more, all conveniently from the comfort of home through remote work.

As a newcomer to the remote work environment and the platform, I was initially overwhelmed by the myriad of opportunities. Yoummday offers a wide array of projects and tasks to choose from, ranging from addressing customer inquiries to sales consultation and technical support – the diversity was impressive. However, after getting acclimated, I began to find my footing.

One significant advantage of Yoummday was its flexibility. As a freelancer, I could set my own working hours, which proved to be invaluable, especially during the pandemic. As a recent transplant to Donostia, this flexibility allowed me to seamlessly settle into my new surroundings without neglecting my professional ambitions.

Collaborating with clients on Yoummday was also a positive experience. The platform provides a transparent and user-friendly interface, making it easy to communicate with clients and manage projects through remote work. Although everything was conducted virtually, it still felt personal, and I was able to build strong relationships with my clients.

Of course, there were challenges as well. As a freelancer in the home office, I had to learn to be disciplined and self-motivated. The boundaries between work and leisure sometimes blurred, but over time, I found a rhythm that worked for me in the remote work setup.

Overall, my journey as a freelancer with Yoummday was a rewarding experience. It not only allowed me to leverage my skills in a flexible work environment but also facilitated my personal growth. Venturing into freelancing during a pandemic may have seemed daring at first, but with the right platform and mindset, it was a decision I do not regret.

See you soon,
